Re: Playback cut/trim

i'm sure i've updated the firmware on the camera since the last time i did this a year or two back. So it's the camera f/w that controls this and not the app? Interesting!

Playback cut/trim

Hi guys, I know I've done something like this in the past, but what I thought I remembered doing isn't working anymore. I want to cut a clip in playback mode. But the 'cut' scissors icon on the bottom right of Web View is not selectable- i get the 'ol circle with a line through it. I get this whethe...

Re: FTP setup with Netgear ReadyShare router

Ok I got mine working as follows (R7800): 1. I enabled FTP admin login. 2. I changed the router password (this allows the FTP admin log in to actually work!). 3. I made a folder structure on the readyshare drive as follows (CASE MATTERS): USB_Storage/<devicename> Share this as a network folder with...

IP2M-842: SD Card and FTP/NAS/PC?

Hi all, looking for some method to save off my video files, since the max 128GB SD card only captures about 3-1/2 days. I went through the pains of configuring FTP on my PC, only to then find out it's an "either or" when selecting SD/NAS/FTP as the destination. What I'd love to be able to ...

Re: Giving up on wireless, going to Cat5e

Yes. Most switches these days can figure it out automatically, but check to see if one of the switch ports says "uplink" because if so, that's the port you use to connect back to the main router. If all 5 ports are marked identically then you can use any port to connect back.

SLOW camera on tinycam...what should I tweak??

Hi all, I just replaced a Dlink with an IP2m-841. Great picture, but... I use tinycam pro on a tablet and keep a four-camera view. The IP2M-841 is REALLY slow on that screen, while the other three cameras (2 netgearand one dlink) work just fine. The Amcrest does work just fine on my PC view. What ca...

Save zoom in preset?

Hey all, new IP2M-841. Replacing a netgear thingy and I like this much better so far! The much wider field of view is great, but I want to narrow it down a bit. Easy peasy, until restart/reboot (power failure, the weekly reboot feature which is pretty cool), when the camera goes back to the wider vi...

Re: Accessing remotely via the App? or Tinycam Pro

took me a few minutes to figure it out, but in the end the tinycam config is simple. But I'll document here in case anyone else gets stuck. Basically, for remote access via tinycam, TWO port forwardings need to be configured in your router, as opposed to just one in other model cameras. So one for c...
