Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

But it wasn't removed, the current version of the documentation still says both are supported. Every version of the API documentation that was provided to me, still says both methods are supported. From the API Documentation: 3.5 Authentication Video products support either basic authentication or d...

Re: Basic HTTP Auth Not Working After Firmware Update 17.R for IP2M-841E

Thank you for your response. I opened a case on 06/18/2017 and was sent an updated firmware package (Amcrest_IPC-AWXX-V2_Eng_N_V2.420.AC00.18.R.20170521.bin) and after completing the upgrade and a factory reset, the issue is still unresolved. The most recent update I received from support on 06/26/...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

Hello all, We have reported the issue to the R&D team. We will get back to you with an update as soon as possible. Melvin, This issue was reported through a support ticket by me in early April. You should not have had to re report this in June and it should have been resolved by now. Can you gi...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

I actually never got a response to this, because Support just closed my ticket. The only suggestions they ever gave was here is a new version of the API documentation, no matter how many times I told them I have evidence on the wire that this is not a documentation problem but an application problem...

Re: Basic HTTP Auth Not Working After Firmware Update 17.R for IP2M-841E

I had a support ticket open with this, and have wirecaptures done and posted in this Forum. They closed my support case after the last firmware upgrade in March and never resolved the issue. They only thing they did was repeatedly send me new versions of the API documentation. That is not the proble...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

I have had this case open with support since the day I found the issue. They have not yet responded with anything besides - here is the API Guide let me know if this helps. They do not seem to get that this is a software problem. Bumping this again maybe we can get some type of response.

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

So in other words, this is strictly looking like a firmware issue, from both our points of view. I have a ticket open with Amcrest that supposedly was sent to there R&D but there hasn't been any response from it since it was submitted. Not the most impressive support. Anyone from Amcrest care to...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

Figured I would add this link to this as well as I did some additional digging on this and posted findings in a different forum, wondering if maybe you are seeing the same thing. https://forums.zoneminder.com/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=25606 Basically what I saw in the WireShark Capture was the Basic A...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?

I am experiencing a similar issue and am wondering if you attempted the call directly from a browser. In my case, using the authorization string in the URL directly in a chrome browser works without issue, but calling a GET request from a perl script is failing with a 401 Error. My Camera is a IP2M-...
