Re: How to zoom in on downloaded video

There must be dozens of possible answers to your question dependant on what exactly you need to do but one easy way to zoom the video whilst viewing it is to use VLC MediaPlayer which allows interactive zooming. The way to do it is described in this YT video https://youtu.be/jQRNGoC6LcY?si=o-IZSidOQ...

Re: SnapShot API

Welcome to the forum. I don't know about that particular camera but for me http://username:password@IPaddress/cgi-bin/snapshot.cgi returns a snapshot in a web browser. This also works for me within an app that I've built for my own use to capture/save a snapshot and then rename the file before expor...

Re: Router

Assuming that the new router allows you to make changes and isn't locked down then it's possible that you don't need to make any changes to your cameras at all and they will work as normal. You just set the router SSID, access password and IP addressing to exactly the same as your old one that shoul...

Re: Amcrest View Pro 2 for Android?

The Play Store says it's compatible with my Android LG but I'm reluctant to install it since the existing version works great for me as is. I've deleted it again. Not saying that V2 was definitely responsible but I think it was. One of my cameras suddenly decided that it was on a different network ...

Re: Amcrest View Pro 2 for Android?

I have to admit that I wasn't even aware that there's a V2. I downloaded it on my iPhone via the app store and have it set up and working (although that's no help to you) . If there are no other replies from users on the Forum then I'd suggest getting in touch with Amcrest as per the support pages -...

Re: Amcrest View Pro 2 for Android?

Welcome to the forum. Does this link work for you? - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mm.android.direct.AmcrestViewPro I don't have any Android devices so can't be sure, but the page states the last update was on 1st August 2023 but it's not clear, to me at least, whether that was j...

Re: Slow Download of Video Files

This is a problem that I've been aware of for some time. TBH it's not important to me but it piqued my interest anyway so I thought I'd see if I could find a way to get round it. This is what I cam up with. I gave up on ASP and looked at my camera's Web GUI. The screenshot is a part of the "Pla...

Re: invalid MP4 recording created by camera (IP4M-1041)

Just another thought and forgive what is probably a silly question but have you checked that the affected files are not zero byte. It just occurred to me because it's a problem that I've come across myself.

Re: invalid MP4 recording created by camera (IP4M-1041)

Hello and welcome to the forum. I have occasionally come across recorded files from my cameras (not sure whether that was on MSD, my NAS, or my PC - I've used all at one time or another) that may well have been malformed in the way you describe but I've never tried troubleshooting them, they just go...

Re: AD410 chime kit replacement

Typed up a detailed reply... it vanished on submit. Happens way too often and I'm fed up. I've had the same thing happen to me several times and I've got around it by hitting my browser navigation back button a couple of times after logging in again and that brings the whole text back again. You ca...
