Re: Knocking sound in Amcrest IP2M-841B

1. Is this for longer than the initialisation (btn 30 seconds to 1 minute on mine) i.e. when the camera rotates through it's full sweep and clicks when it reaches the limit, which AFAIK is normal? 2. Are you using DHCP? Could this be your router re-booting or problems with the IP leased to your came...

Re: Rule to turn light on when motion detecterd

Don't know whether my layout would serve you. I have 6 x exterior lights around the outside of my house 5 of which are controlled by inbuilt IR sensors the 6th one runs as a 'slave' from one of the lights with a sensor i.e. it is switched on by the other light. I could just as easily have it soundin...

Re: connecting NVR to PC

To partly answer your question, I've looked at the spec of your AIO and the only HDMI port it has got is an HDMI out port so you should disconnect that lead as it is serving no purpose. If you have connected the NVR to your LAN (i.e. ethernet cable to your router) then it should be 'discoverable' by...

Presumably relevant only where devices are wi-fi connected?

Re: Going away triggers better than moving towards.

Many thanks for the offer - p.m. sent.

p.s. I haven't answered the question. The camera is inside a bedroom window looking down across my driveway at an angle I would guess at about 45°.

Going away triggers better than moving towards.

I've noted both with my IP2M-841B and also the cameras attached to my NVR (another make) that movement away from the camera triggers motion detection much more reliably than when people are approaching. Has anyone esle found the same, is there a reason for this? I should add that I've experimented w...

Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?

Well I don't know what I did differently but, I've managed it. I would have liked to leave a more helpful ending for anybody else trying to do the same thing. I should've been more systematic in my approach but I used the 'scatter gun' technique :D p.s. - footnote on the morning after a successful n...

Re: How do i save video files to my computer ?

How are you connecting to your camera? I save files from the camera SD card to my NAS using the playback web interface page and selecting them there before clicking on the download button.

Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?

The web interface shows Camera/Config/and then sub headings of Picture - Exposure - BLC Mode - WB - Day&Night - Night Vision. I've tried all combinations (I think) of options under the Picture - Day&Night - Night Vision sub headings and ay night I can get a preview of the picture how I want ...

Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?

I've got two cameras trained on my drive. One is external and switchwa to night mode illuminating the area I'm interested in. The second camera is inside a window and up to now I have kept it in day mode to prevent the night time IR illumination glare back from the window. The illumination from my o...
