When will we see an actual plugin that is supported by our browsers and not a "hack" work around? Why wasn't this fixed in the last firmware release?

That's correct, Melvin. The camera still works with IE but no longer with Firefox 55.0.1 with the "workaround".

Firefox updated a couple of days ago and I can't access my cameras again. The firefox plugin hack no longer works as of Firefox 55. Same thing as before, "download and install the plugin", but it never loads video. It keeps prompting to download and install plugin and never asks to activat...

Chrome and their webapp is a terrible solution. It was so bad I couldn't stand it so I've moved on to another browser called Pale Moon. It's built off firefox base and is open support, and it includes NPAPI support. Still though, Amcrest should be responsible for providing modern support our browsers.

Here's the odd thing. I've been on the latest firefox 52 with the webplugin working fine. It stopped working when I decided to clear my browser history. Since then, when I visit my public IP to view remotely, it asks to install the plugin. It seems to install with a quick flash of a box with no erro...
