Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

If anyone is still following this thread....... I too had problems when using FileZilla with only the IP2M-841 (the other cameras worked fine). My original solution was to simply take away write permission. That worked OK but I also did some experimentation. I switched to the "free" versio...

Hi juzzdawg! If you are correct then what is really crazy is that Amcrest has a youtube tutorial video where they show how to set up FTP on the camera. In the video they use (you guessed it) Filezilla as the server!!

Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

What is strange is that if you dump the storage configuration parameters there is an overwrite setting for what appears to be the FTP configuration (based on the Memo field. I have been playing around with this but I am not sure it actually does anything. Sure would be nice if someone from Amcrest c...

Re: IP3M-943B Keeps Resetting

I had a similar problem with a few cameras. All of them are set to upload recordings and periodic snapshots to my FTP server. I noticed that the cameras that reset most often were on WIFI. The wired cameras rarely if ever reset. Over time I have run some additional ethernet cabling and have fewer ca...

Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

I have 13 amcrest cameras. I have a sneaking suspicion that my IP2M-852B camera may have this problem. I thought there used to be more files under that camera's directory but wasn't sure. I am using Filezilla as the FTP server and have all the cameras in a group. I am going to turn off delete permis...

Re: Amcrest ftp issues

I can't help you with the uploading to your ISP FTP site. I have 13 Amcrest cameras that FTP to my FTP site (Windows box running Filezilla). I can tell you that it works but it has not been without some setup challenges. I would say that the biggest problem has been a slow disk on the FTP server. Th...

Re: Can't change device name after firmware upgrade

This happened to me to with my only POE camera. Amcrest allowed me to RMA it. I think that is the only fix currently available.

Camera Checking Program

Hi All, I have been doing some experimenting with the Amcrest camera API. I have written a small simple program that can be used to check one or more Amcrest cameras. I have attached a screen shot to show what the program looks like. I am including a blurb from the readme file that goes with the pro...

Re: Latest Firmware broke a few things on my model IP3M-954E

Responding to my own post.... I heard from Amcrest support this morning. Nice to have such a quick response. Looks like I am not going crazy. If anyone is having trouble with the new firmware, Amcrest is aware of the issues. XXXXXXXXXXXXX (Amcrest) Apr 4, 9:08 AM CST Good Morning, Thank you for cont...

Latest Firmware broke a few things on my model IP3M-954E

I just submitted the below request on the Amcrest site. Am I the only one seeing these issues with the latest firmware that came out the end of last month or has anyone else run into this as well? The inability to change the device name is particularly annoying for someone who has multiple cameras n...
