I have a IP3M-943 mounted in the ceiling of my garage. It is powered by an AC plug adjacent to the Cam. I have given up on wireless operation and will be connecting the Cam to a router via Cat6 Ethernet cable. Here's my question...do I connect the switch with ethernet cable to my Netgear wireless router? I need the router ...

Once again I've had to contact phone support and once again: 1. Can't understand the tech... 2. Can't answer my question 3. See #1 I've been given a name and extension number that is supposedly in the U.S. I call, enter the extension number, and ALWAYS get a message that the person is not available....

Any suggestions?

Then why does the software gives you the option to select the drive, folder, etc. and the amount of storage to be allocated, overwrite on a desktop PC?

I have 2 cameras, both set for motion detection. Why does an event display at the very end of the recording. The recording may last 45 seconds, but the actual event shows at the 41 second mark. What settings do I need to change? (shouldn't the actual event be displayed much earlier in the recording?...
