unfortunately their support is about as good as your experience showed. I had the exact same response as I have a similar setup including brands and same issue with remote. I solved it by putting a piece of electrical tape over the ir receiver on the NVR.

I too will throw my hat in the ring. I have the issue as well and am waiting for a fix.

reading your dilemma I thought through my post a bit more and found an area you may be getting tripped up on. Option 4 (firefox esr) it is key you dl and install the 32bit version. Same question here. My Direct TV remote volume up causes the NVR to change screens.
Whats up with no Remote included with the NVR?
What remotes work with them, I would like to access via remote control and change screens

Any response from Amcrest on this? Whenever I go to the chanel name screen and make an edit, they always revert to whatever they want to be.
How is the channel numbers assigned?

same behavior on IE and Firefox. Chrome doesnt work but I think that is a known issue.
