Re: Email Date and Time is Wrong

After more experimenting with the AMDV7204, if I set the GMT from GMT-5 to GMT+7 then the email date/time is correct. But then the date/time on the video/image is wrong by 12 hours. So it's a toss up. Have the wrong date/time on the email, or have the wrong date/time on the video/image. Cannot belie...

Re: AMDV7204-4B Hacked

Going to bump this old thread. Same happened to a family member's AMDV7204 system. Lost remote access and once access gained camera names changed to hacked like indicated above by another person. Reset the system and loaded the latest (from 2015) AMDV7204 firmware. I do LOL at the suggestion to keep...

Re: Email Date and Time is Wrong

Having the same problem with an AMDV7204 running 3.200.AC04.5, Build Date: 12-17-2015 firmware. Despite the system showing the correct time/date and the motion detection (and live video) showing the correct date/time. The emails (including test emails) are indicating the wrong sent time. Exactly 12 ...

Snapshot Delayed on HDVCI

If I remember right there was a specific setting fix for the snapshot delay issue on the HDVCI camera systems posted to this forum a while back. Had it bookmarked but lost the bookmark some time ago. The problem is the snapshot that is taken and sent via email is delayed and doesn't capture the even...

Changing a 4ch existing system to 8chan system

Tried doing a search but forum search keeps dropping common words like 4 and 8 and DVR and I'm sure this question has been asked before. Is it possible to swap out a 720p 4chan Amcrest DVR box setup that has four existing 1280TVL (700+?) cameras with an 8ch Amcrest DVR box and keep the existin...

What is the update on this? Will there (ever) be a fix that doesn't require one to hack Firefix to access their DVR/cameras?

Re: setup email

Well, despite seeing the "test successful" message when I set up email, I am still not getting any email. :( That's strange. From what I understand the "test successful" message indicates an email message was sent..... somewhere. Double check the recipient email address to ensur...

Re: Setting up email on Amcrest ProHD (IP2M-841)

With Gmail one generally has to disable the Gmail 2 step security feature: https://support.google.com/accounts/ans ... 4203?hl=en

One also has to make sure to use the correct email server name and correct port number for SSL or TLS.

smtp.gmail.com
SSL 465
TLS 587

Re: Downloading video

The DVR's web interface, at least on the 720p HDCVI DVR, supports saving the video to one's local hard drive. It even has the option of converting that video from DAV to ASF before downloading. If one downloads the DAV file, the Amcrest Smart Player program will convert it to AVI. 720p/1080p HDCVI S...

Re: setup email

Couple of suggestions for those having trouble. Some ISP/Broadband providers may be blocking outgoing email connections to locations other than their email servers. Rare but its been known to happen in the past. So check with your broadband provider to ensure that they're not blocking outbound email...
