Were you ever able to resolve this. I am having the same issue, this is on a brand new doorbell.

when door bell pressed I get a button pressed notification, but pressing the notification does not open the call screen as it is shown in the amcrest video. If the app is open the call screen works. I am using Amcrest Smart Home 3.13.1 on a Pixel 8. The call screen is intermittent and only consistently works while the app is open. Does anyone have experience with this?

Pixel 8, but I also have the exact same problem with my wifes S23. The app is sporadic at best but latly if i am in teh app and the doorbell rings we are able to respond. If we are not in the app I get a notification someone is at the door, when I click on the notification it tries to go to the live...
