Re: IP3M-941/IP2M-841E/IP3M-HX2 Firmware Release
When I received emails about new plug-in free FW, I was very excited to soon have a FW that didn't require an outdated plugin or partially functional Amcrest webview app in Chrome, but after stumbling on this thread, I think I'll stick with the old FW for a while.

Re: Amcrest View and chrome
The lack of a viable means to configure cameras is a joke. Safari doesn't work. Firefox doesn't work. IE doesn't work. The Chrome plugin used to work ok, but now its problematic for adjusting the motion detection region. The IE Tab app in Chrome looks like security risk. I bought my IP3M-943 two yea...

Re: firefox and internet explorer plugins no longer working
I am quite disappointed by the lack of software and firmware development for Amcrest IP cameras as well. Seems quite unacceptable to have to use a soon-to-be obsolete version of Firefox to access my Amcrest IP camera.

Re: Mac users: How are you dealing with recording and playback?
I have a WD My Book Live NAS in my basement. It is 2TB and cost a bit over $100 several years ago. I record mp4 files into it via the ftp option in the cameras. I can mount the WD on my Mac's and I can view "completed" mp4 file with quicktime player or VLC. However, I find it easier to co...

To Amcrest: Suggestions for Improving Motion Detection Algorithm
Dear Amcrest, Your camera seems pretty nice, and your firmware has some nice features, but the motion detection algorithm is far too simplistic. I think you would make so many people happy if you could add the following features to your motion detection algorithm: 1) Add an "Upper Threshold Lim...

Re: Motion Detection Sensitivity / snapshot of MD trigger
I'll add my 2 cents on how the motion detection settings work: * Sensistivity - This is the amount of contrast change within a detection block (I think Amcrest calls these pixels) required to trigger that block. Contrast change can be from any possible source, e.g., actual motion, lights being turne...

Re: No longer works with Chrome
I also vote for Chrome support. It has become my preferred browser, and I see no reason why it shouldn't be possible to provide live video feed.
