Re: unable to turn off the LED lights

Depending on the DVR model, it may have an 'auto' setting for 'channel type' that will detect HDCVI/TVI/AHD... Depending on the camera and sticker for the dip switches, they may be back-assward from what the sticker indicates. The 'Auto' selection for channel/camera type should compensate for a disc...

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

I just experimented with Nelly's approach #1 using OBS and it was butt simple. And yes, the PC obviously needs to be up and running to facilitate the stream and run the software. An alternative approach to your objective may be to just use a webcam and a DDNS setup so people can simply access the ca...

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

Unfortunately it seems that you're SOL for quality direct streaming without an additional encoding step to establish the RTMP component.

This is a good video on the options. OBS is your ticket.

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

Before going too much further, check for the RTMP option here. This is where the magic happens.

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

If you can stand by for a few I'd like to look into this a little further from the YouTube side of things to explore the options -- now knowing a bit more about your network and assuming there are some fairly strict security controls in place. In the meantime you can go here to see what your network...

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

Re: IP8M-2496E and RTMP

We need to confirm port 1935 exists in the camera before anything else. Here is a great port scanner that's a clean open source tool that doesn't need to be installed. Just download it and run it when you need it. https://angryip.org/download/#windows It's fairly intuitive and will identify your cam...
