No Motion Recording on Ch 1
This has been an ongoing issue for some time and I've just lived with it since the affected cameras are also on my Blue Iris server and work fine there. I say 'cameras' because the problem exists on 2 DV8M8s and a NV4108-HS with all three having different brand and type cameras on their respective c...

Re: Amcrest DVR and IP camera motion detection not working
My question is, does this Amcrest DVR not support motion detection for IP cameras, or just not from non-Amcrest IP cameras? I triple checked the setting, motion detection is enabled on the DVR for every channel. Been meaning to reply to this and kept forgetting... The DVR should record motion from ...

Re: IP2M-858W Issue
Any possibility of moisture migration creating issues? How about the power supply?
The reset button doing nothing isn't a very good sign -- providing you're referring to the one inside the camera and not just a soft reset.

Re: AMDV8M16-H5 what is playback ability?
The DV8M8 recorded and played back (via the GUI) the Reolink 810A at 4K 25fps just fine. Was a bit choppy until switching to VBR which smoothed everything out at 4096 h265. In my case initially the webUI was crap simply due to the display and horsepower limitations of my laptop. Just checked again w...

Re: AMDV8M16-H5 what is playback ability?
I'm afraid I didn't have as much time to experiment as expected, but I did manage to get a new refurbed 4K Reolink set up and running successfully on an IP channel and it handled it at full blown 4K at 25fps both live and playback via the WebUI from my Blue Iris rig. I'll check the DVR GUI in the mo...

Re: AMDV8M16-H5 what is playback ability?
I've not tried with my 8M8-H5 but they spec a limit of 7fps with a 4K camera. I'll give it a try later and see what happens. Which WebUI, btw? The DVR itself? If so, the stream res may have been lowered to display in your browser vs. what would otherwise be spit straight out to a display. Just think...

Re: Not able to add IP camera to NVR or Access ONVIF
One is a Standard and other is a Protocol as I have said a good few times in this thread here.. A good once or twice. LOL I know this. I have known this. I knew this when addressing your initial post in a subtle attempt to indicate such. I've read the entire ONVIF Core Specification and basically u...

Re: Not able to add IP camera to NVR or Access ONVIF
Sorry for the abrupt departure. Emergency kitchen plumbing duties took precedence of discussing ONVIF minutia. LOL This link is probably the simplest and best general explanation of how ONVIF is implemented at the level we are all most familiar with. And while access control is clearly the prominent...

Re: Not able to add IP camera to NVR or Access ONVIF
LOL Yes it is! I totally understand everything you are conveying and generally agree. I was politely trying to correct the erroneous projection that ONVIF provides any type of user authentication whatsoever, which you still seem to think is an aspect somewhere within the ONVIF standards effort. It i...
