Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
You said something interesting in that reply. "Anyway with the A2 being a new hardware for Amcrest it shouldn't have issues using POE ports with Amcrest/Dahua (Type) cameras" My cameras are not Amcrest or Dahua. I have two separate brands of camera (they were bought in packs of 4) that I c...

Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
I originally had been using the 8 PoE ports on my NVR to connect my cameras. It worked, but it gave me errors and randomly disconnected some of the cameras every day. In trying to troubleshoot, I realized I couldn't get any network traffic from my laptop, through the NVR, to any of the cameras. So I...

Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
I picked up a 10 port PoE switch. Plugged my cameras into the 8 PoE ports on this switch. Plugged 1 uplink port into my NVR. Plugged 1 uplink port into the rest of my network. I briefly manually changed the IP of my laptop so I could pull up the web interfaces on all my cameras. Using that, I change...

Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
Based on that information, I'll need to reevaluate my troubleshoot strategy. I'll grab a separate PoE switch to see if I can get the cameras to come up on their own and mess with their configuration in the web interface.

Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
For H.265, that box doesn't seem to matter if it's checked or not checked. Nothing comes up on the screen. For the network architecture: The cameras connect to the PoE ports of the NVR, and are 192.168.3.11 to 192.168.3.18. The NVR's internal address is 192.168.3.1 and its external address is 192.16...

Re: configuring cameras with NVR4108E
I can't get the cameras page to load when using the computer. I can use the HDMI to set up the cameras, but the attached is what I see when I use my computer. If I click "Refresh" it says "Config File Error" so I guess my factory reset didn't solve that problem.

configuring cameras with NVR4108E
I had an older PoE NVR fail, and I recently replaced it with an Amcrest NVR4108E-A2. It is running latest firmware, V4.000.00AC001.0, Build Date: 2021-09-15. I have 8 cameras that are all ONVIF compatible. When I first set it up, I configured all my cameras and was mostly happy. But I kept getting &...
