Re: Choppy video playback in ASP on new PC
Looks like I spoke too soon. It's still somewhat choppy on the new PC. I tried installing the latest version on my laptop and it was still smooth on live feed, even over wifi. I switched the new PC to WiFi but it made no difference. The video drivers are the latest for this device and I can view ful...

Re: Choppy video playback in ASP on new PC
Thanks for your reply. In the original installation on the new PC, I had downloaded the current version from the Amcrest site a couple of days ago and installed it. Then I took a backup of the saved configuration settings from the old PC that I had made earlier that day (before swapping PCs). I rest...

Choppy video playback in ASP on new PC
Hi, I purchased a new PC and installed ASP on it. My previous PC was slower. The new one is a Ryzen 7 7735HS with Radeon 680 graphics. When I run a YouTube video test at 4K or 2K video with 60 FPS, it runs perfectly, losing only about 40 frames out of 3000+. My network has not changed and my new PC ...

NV4108E-A2 didn't update time after DST switch
I logged into the ASP Windows program today for my NVR (NV4108E-A2) and noticed the cameras were still showing the old time -- it hadn't "sprung forward" by one hour for daylight saving time. I then logged into the NVR via the web interface and went to the date and time configuration page....

Re: Put IP cameras on same network as router
Thanks! I can set up my router to disable internet access to the cameras by MAC so that they can communicate locally on the LAN with the NVR, but not be reached from WAN sources, which should protect them from being compromised and still allow me to configure them directly via the LAN.

Re: Camera Name
I wanted to update this thread since I came here with the same question but about the Android Amcrest View Pro app. I had a camera port in the DVR that was not used, but added a new camera today. The app was already set up on my phone with 5 cameras that had all be renamed on the DVR before setting ...

Camera update pending?
Hi, When I log into the web UI for my NV4108E-A2 (fw ver. V4.000.00AC001.0, Build Date: 09-15-2021), I then go to Management->Camera->Update tab, and I see the "Status" column for all cameras says "Pending". I thought perhaps that meant that a newer firmware was available, so I c...

Re: Audio on IP5M-T1179EW
Thanks! The first camera had a port of 10080 which MS Edge deemed "unsafe" and wouldn't open. I had to start Edge with the command line parameter --explicitly-allowed-ports=10080 to get it to work. The other cameras seem to be fine when launched from the web UI.
