Re: IP2M-841 Deleting FTP files after a couple of hours

As you know, this problem has been discussed and reported to Amcrest without any resolution. I wouldn't hold out for them to supply a fix either. They have not provided a single fix to most of the issues raised on this forum in the past 6 months. Not sure what FTP solution you are using, but for me ...

Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.... Not a single firmware for any of their products has been posted by the ''R&D Team'' since August. I am wondering if there is really anyone working on the many issues brought forth in this forum. To bad... Could have been a great consumer product. Instead i...

I have the same issue with my 3 cameras. I save motion detection files to an ftp folder on my QNAP NAS. Was finding files mysteriously missing. Changing settings on the cameras did not help. I finally "solved" the problem by setting the "Enable write-only access on FTP connection"...

Re: Latest firmware update for Amcrest cameras results in constant connection to cloud servers even for non-cloud custom

I recently blocked my Amcrest cameras from Internet access on my Asus router. I do not and never have used or configured any Amcrest cloud service. The utility I am using to do this creates a report that it emails to me each week. I was shocked to see how many times these cameras tried to connect to...

Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

In my case, the cameras are not just deleting "old" files, they are deleting files from the current day as well. Also, what gets deleted seems very random. Not all folders of files from a particular day are being deleted. Some hourly folders are deleted and some are left behind. Very frust...

Re: Recent ftp files deleted by IP2M-841 using new SW version 2.420.AC00.18.R (2017-05-21)

I thought I was going nuts...glad I am not the only one seeing this behavior. Have my cameras setup to store snapshots on my NAS via FTP. Have never configured or used any of Amcrest cloud services and do not have any Auto Maintenance features turned on. This started after updating and hard resettin...

Re: Can Amcrest IP2M-841B automatically delete old FTP files?

Check out this script https://forum.qnap.com/viewtopic.php?p=578875#p578875. Works well on my QNAP NAS runing FTP server to delete my old camera files. You will need to tweak the script for your setup. I run it every night via CRON job. Works well.

Re: Managing Cameras Using Web Browser

Browser plug in issues are well documented throughout this forum and acknowledged by Amcrest. So, I don't feel I am trashing Amcrest at all. Just pointing out a lack of response to an issue that has been around for awhile. I am most positive this is not an issue specific to my setup. Computers and c...

Re: Managing Cameras Using Web Browser

I've tried it out and it does work ... the only issue being that the video on the configuration pages does not align. It is still shifted down and to the right, but it no longer covers the controls. So, it does work better, but not correctly. I have installed an older version of Firefox (49.02) just...

Managing Cameras Using Web Browser

I would like to be able to manage my Amcrest Cameras (IPM-723 and IP3M-954E) using IE11, but am having an issue. When I log into the camera and go to Setup>Configuration, the video for the camera is "offset" and covering the settings. This makes it impossible to make any changes to the set...
