login timeouts

When accessing my cameras via the Android app on my phone, I usually get one or two "login timed out" messages and have to retry until I succeed. Recently I had to try 10 times before I got in. I realize this could be a connection bandwidth issue, but once I get in everything is fine. Is t...

Re: formatting SD card

Update update: MEA CULPA. I actually didn't have the SD cards fully inserted - it isn't obvious, but I needed to use a thumbnail to get it in ALL the way until it clicked. So I don't know if SDXC works. I may try one again in the future. For now, it's using a FAT32 card.

Re: formatting SD card

Update - formatted an SDXC card as FAT32, but that didn't work either.

Re: formatting SD card

Thanks I'll try that next time I'm physically in the shop.

After some more research - I think the problem is that the camera can't use an SDXC card. Maybe it could if the card were formatted as fat32, but I'll just get a different card and try it.

Re: formatting SD card

All I've used is the Android app and ASP.
I remember a web interface a couple years ago, but as I recall it was deprecated and the Chrome plugin disappeared.

So what's the preferred access method today? Is it "Pale Moon" or something else?

formatting SD card

I'm puzzled. I put an SD card in a new camera, but it isn't showing up. I already had one camera with a card, works fine. I open Surveillance Pro/Devices, click on the cog icon, select the camera, go to Storage/HDD manager, no card is shown. Was there something I was supposed to do to format the car...

Re: easier way to view videos

Yes "Search" unlocked the magic. I have to say, "Search" is not exactly intuitive, but there it is, and thanks. Now I can search through the videos in a fairly convenient way. I'll be figuring out "Download" next - I assume this will let me bring the videos to my local ...

Re: easier way to view videos

I switched the camera to ethernet, and can access it remotely via ASP. Live view words and I can view the camera's settings. But - "Playback" doesn't work. I bring up the Playback tab, select the group/camera, and get nothing. With the Android phone app, I can see that recording is working...

Re: easier way to view videos

Yes I knew it rolled over smoothly, I just thought I might end up with only a few hours of back-history in the event something needed to be looked at. I understand the camera doesn't literally stitch the files, but it provides a UI that lets me browser through them seamlessly. I'll be going there sh...
