I just upgraded my nvr to 5216, and the original firmware in it came with a screen that should which block had motion. It was in the setup for motion detection.

New firmware does not have this feature. Bummer.

Also to be Honest, I would turn your VBR back to CBR and personally I have mine set to 22fps for main on my 841's, and to be honest there is no difference we can see set to 22fps over 30.. Also Unless your trying to save Movie Quality for Streaming I wouldn't set up to Best as well.. This can help ...

Is it suppose to record everything?
And them at playback, I filter and show me only the motion detection?

In my old NVR, it only recorded the motions, thus saving a lot of space on the hard drive.
