Re: Is IP5M-T1179E the only camera model does not require plugin?
My order of IP8M-T2499EW-28MM has arrived. I am happy to report that the WebUI works on Google Chrome running on a Mac with Amcrest Web View extension installed. While not the the best way html5 solution out there, at least it works on a web browser of 2020 albeit losing some functionalities. :) Unf...

Re: Is IP5M-T1179E the only camera model does not require plugin?
Thanks for your reply. It's good to hear that some old models have been updated to html5 standard. Unfortunately it is still far from inclusive inclusive that all model on sale are plugin-less. I am thinking about IP8M-T2499E at the moment. Another thread of this forum regarding that camera model is...

Is IP5M-T1179E the only camera model does not require plugin?
From the User manual, it seems IP5M-T1179E does not require plugin on the web interface and works with any modern web browser. Is it true? Are there any other models that work with modern web browsers?

Thank you for your reply.
I have accidentally found that Amcrest is releasing a new smart camera with the specs I love soon. I wish it will be ready by the time the renovation of my house is completed. Finger crossed!

Any plan to add support for Google Assistant. Amazon Alexa or HomeKit
@james_s
I am planning to add security cameras for my home. AMCREST seems to be a good choice with html5 WebUI and no subscription required. As smart home integrated is so trendy now, I wonder whether AMCREST has any plan to add support for the most popular platforms?

html5 WebUI
Hello all, james_s I am new here. I have been looking for affordable security cameras that provide html5 WebUI and allow RTS access or edge storage outside the cameras without subscriptions. It turned out to be much harder than I thought! :( Luckily I have just found some models of AMCREST meet my r...
