Re: Upon launch, text is very small
My version, using that link to download and install, is 2.03.0 dated 2019-12-23 It has been totally stable as I use it, though others have shown how to crash it by leaving a still image up during playback. I don't do that, so it has never crashed for me. And uninstalling gets rid of it completely, s...

Re: Firmware IP2M-858W
What happened to the firmware for IP2M-858W? This camera is not even listed in the firmware updates in "Support" This won't actually help you, but is a bit of information. I bought my IP2M-858W recently (a few weeks) and it is at FW version: V2.623.00AC003.0.R.R4.2510.9A.NR, Build Date: 2...

Try Amcrest Surveillance Pro Beta (ver 2.x). Link to its thread: https://amcrest.com/forum/amcrest-surveillance-pro-f26/amcrest-surveillance-pro-2-0-beta-windows-only--t13561.html However, I did not experience that on either version. I run at 1920x1080 with 125% magnification on a 15" monitor.

Got presets to work in Blue Iris for an IP2M-858W
StratRider's thread got me experimenting in the right direction (thanks jack7 for pointing to his continuation thread on ipcamtalk). After some trial and error, all I had to change was to not use a name for each preset. Leave it as a number. I had first set it up so the camera preset names matched t...

Re: Ip2m-858w Firmware gone from Amcrest site
jack7, IT WORKED! Thank you!. How did you ever figure that one out? It had blocked the 'restore' 'and 'save' buttons. Now IE11 on Win10 seems to work perfect for working with the camera's web interface. I still wouldn't use the IP Config interface to start it, though. Just open IE and enter the IP A...

Re: New member, new IP8M-T2499E
Revo2Maxx covered it pretty well. But I'm wondering at what you have tried. Since you have an Android phone I assume you have a Windows laptop. Is that the case? Amcrest wants you to use their two software products, IP Config and Surveillance Pro (on the laptop, View Pro on the phone.) Get the lapto...

Re: POE networking cables
jack7, there are two IP2M-858 cameras. The 12x magnification 858EW is POE. The 25x magnification 858W is not. Supposedly. It SHOULDN'T hurt anything for me to plug the injected ethernet cable directly in to the camera and see what happens. But I don't think I'll try it. ;) It's a 12v camera and I'm ...

Re: Emails stopped working...
I just got my camera set up this week. Was pleased I got email alerts working. That lasted one day. Now, no more alerts. Thought it was me... obviously not.

Re: Ip2m-858w Firmware gone from Amcrest site
jack7, the web interface ALMOST works in IE on Windows 10. The camera view does not fit inside its frame, covering some buttons that therefore cannot be used. For instance, the picture covers the top of the PTZ control so you cannot tilt the camera up. Where can one find the firmware version? If it ...

Re: Program does not start
I haven't had that happen. Any error messages? Have you checked Task Manager to see if it is there?
