Re: AD410 chime kit replacement
Typed up a detailed reply... it vanished on submit. Happens way too often and I'm fed up.

Re: AD410 chime kit replacement
Thanks for posting that link to a battery replacement. In another forum a user reported his AD410 failed due to a badly swollen battery. He was wanting to try a replacement even though it would not power up via transformer AC or USB 5V either. Last week my AD410 kept shutting down several times/day ...

Re: AD410 - Customise blue LED
I've had a look through the Smart Home app as well as the API documentation but can't see anything immediately obvious that would let me change (the ring light color and state) . You won't find anything documented in the Amcrest HTTP API manual specifically related to SmartHome devices. The additio...

Re: AD410 USB API
as far as I know, the USB connection is only an option for power and does not provide a data path. Does your PC recognize it when the doorbell is attached? If no, then dead end.
Most of the other things you want do do are available with the Amcrest API with the doorbell connected via WiFi.

The VideoWidget CGI manages the content of the video overlay. For the current settings and all it can control: http://<ip_addr>/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=getConfig&name=VideoWidget[0] I've not tested this, but it appears this should work to remove the Time from the RTSP stream: http://<ip...

This OP from ramond45 is a bit unsettling and very curious as to its purpose. This exact same question posted on Reddit/r/homedefense by two_word_reptile 2 years ago got his account suspended after posting 115 unrelated questions! A search of ramond45 shows this username creating accounts on numerou...

OMG/LOL/WTF! My memory of his word for word same question 2 years ago on Reddit certainly had faded as well.

I asked Bard what chipset does the ad410 use, and it replied The Amcrest AD410 uses the Ambarella A7 chipset. This chipset is designed specifically for high-performance IP security cameras. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor and a powerful image signal processor (ISP) that can handle 4...

Re: AD410 - Option to Disable Bell Chime at Doorbell
Well that was sure a nice try and at least it wasn't an error. The curl command looks good to me. I would have also tried the final boundary as --boundary123-- per the RFC. I think the main takeaway for me is that I'm going to start using ChatGPT a lot more to ask questions like this! Not having any...

Re: AD410 - Option to Disable Bell Chime at Doorbell
I wondered how helpful ChatGPT or Bard would be in providing a good multipart audio example. Google's Bard's response wasn't bad, but ChatGPT was more detailed. I asked this: " provide a curl command using Amcrest HTTP API cgi-bin/audio.cgi httptype=multipart to send a G711A audio file with sp...
