Re: Video Doorbell Feature Requests

I as well use home assistant and would love a local api way of viewing button presses and motion events in home assistant.

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

Yeah, maybe now that I know about the gel packs things will be better. I'm not really doing much with the footage yet, mostly just remote viewing. I'd like to get one setup to watch for deliveries so I am looking at the turret camera they make. I was wondering about trying the 4k 30fps for my drivew...

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

Thanks again for all the advice. Time to start looking for an outdoor replacement. Do you have another brand you would recommend. I have an old HikVision that has been working outside for years without a problem, now I know its not 4K. Not sure I want to buy another.

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

James,

Because I'm new it won't let me PM. Give me a day to think about it, I was thinking about what I could do, it would still be usefully as an indoor camera. I might just put it in my garage. My fault for not being patient, I do thank you for all of you advice thogh.

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

Well your picture is correct, under that ring are the screws to get the cover off. I was just gonna post a picture. I was too impatience and basically destroyed the camera to figure this out, before I saw your post. Oh well live and learn. Under that ring is four screws then the cover comes off. May...

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

HI,

There are no screws inside the slot where the SD card goes. There does seem to be a groove that might come apart, but I'll have to figure out how to do that. It seems very tight, hard to get anything in there.

Thanks,
Rob

Re: UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

Hi, thanks for the info I bought the camera directly from Amcrest. My problem is that it doesn't look like the camera comes apart. I asked support and they sent me instructions for a different camera. It might just be the IR, that's interesting. I'm just not sure if I can get it apart. Thanks again,...

UltraHD 4K (8MP) Outdoor Bullet POE Water in Lens

Has anyone had problems with condensation in the camera lens. I don't see a good way of getting it out. Its been a problem, but has gotten worse. Only about two years old, I was hoping to buy some more, but I am concerned with the quality and only getting two years.

Thanks,
Rob
