Re: Amcrest Doorbell

I got mine finally working within BlueIris. I was working with Amcrest Support about getting it to work better with two-way audio, etc but then the world as we knew if fell apart. Eventually they'll be able to assist.

Take care all! Report your status as I'm worried about you.

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

the most 3rd party apps and non-amcrest brand nvrs can do with amcrest smart home cameras are regular recording and live view. i have an amcrest nvr hence it does live view, regular and motion detected recordings with the ad110 doorbell. doorbell motion detected zones are only set from the smart ho...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

I deleted the camera from BlueIris and now it functions correctly in the Amcrest Smart Home App. I need to add it back into BlueIris but only for 24 hour recording and live viewing which is less than I want it to do. Hopefully Amcrest support is reading this and will roll new f/w to address it.

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

The only reason I got this was to use it in BlueIris. I may as well send it back to amazon and re-install my Ring otherwise but the PQ is much better than Ring's..

I suppose I'll try disabling it in BlueIris then see if I can get it working normally then re-enable it in BlueIris.

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

Okay. I'll fine tune my BI settings as such but I'm afraid it is already borked. It might be and RMA unit if I don't get this working correctly. if you are able to perform a hard reset with the doorbell, the doorbell shall be restored to its factory setting for your to start over. rma is not needed...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

yes amcrest replaced the bricked doorbell and my gripe was the firmware did not protect the factory reset button--that's the whole point of having a reset button. there are other legacy apps, NVR, and 3rd party apps that can access the doorbell configuration and i'm afraid if folks are not careful ...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

Is that to say don't use Areas of Interest in BlueIris? I'm pretty sure that is in the software itself and not in the camera. the software changes the configuration settings of the camera hence your doorbell native motion detection stops working properly. i would suggest you do a hard reset on the ...

Re: Amcrest Doorbell

So the documentation is pretty bad on this. Is the Red Area where the camera will detect and the rest is excluded? I may have mine backwards. yes, selected zones are in red. i suggest don't go overboard with selection area to minimize false detection. only use the smart home app in setting motion d...
