Re: New AI cameras randomly stop recording
CORRECTION -- The DST bug is still in the firmware for the new AI cameras; it just took a couple of days for it to show up. The camera just stops recording. It will resume briefly after a login but quit, and may briefly resume after some other sofar unidentified trigger. A reboot or two seems to res...

Re: What do you do with an unused power connector?
If you have ever tried to install an Amcrest turret camera without the optional $35 water proof back box you know you would either have to carve out a cavity in your mounting surface to accommodate the bulk of the connectors, or crush those connectors with the camera ball until the clamshell can be ...

Re: New AI cameras randomly stop recording
FWIW of all the Amcrest cameras I have operational at every location, these two were the only ones that *did not* malfunction after Daylight Saving Time in the US ended on November 5. Apparently the older firmware could not cope with DST and caused the cameras to loose programming and randomly start...

Re: Port 37777 vulnerability
I'd still never enable P2P because it bypasses passwords, and a hacker can brute-force random SN to harvest random cameras until they find something interesting. Its sort of like Russian Roulette.

Port 37777 vulnerability
Was this ever addressed or fixed?

Guest NVR settings
How can you block a guest user from modifying the guest password that multiple guests would be using?

"User authorities overlap!"
I created an IP8M-T2499e guest user logon that restricts them to the live picture.
When I try to create another separate user with the same authorities, I get "User authorities overlap!"
I want to be able to have more than one guest without sharing the same password. Ideas?

Re: New AI cameras randomly stop recording
I updated and factory reset one of the cameras, then reformatted the SD. Verified the new firmware build but saw no change. Then as quick as it started, it stopped, on all the cameras. As if there were never a problem. I backtracked and found similar gaps on other cameras I administer in a different...

Re: New AI cameras randomly stop recording
The timeline bar shows fragments of recordings older than the time of the last format.
P2P has never been enabled on any of my cameras,
no NVR is linked to them, nor any 127.0.0.1 or app access.
This is out-of-the box behavior from new cameras.

Re: New AI cameras randomly stop recording
After upgrading the firmware on one camera last night (to V2.800.00AC001.0.R, Build Date: 2022-08-23), I log in at 8:48a. I have no idea what the "System Events" were since I wasnt logged in. 1 2023-07-22 08:48:56 admin Set Time 2 2023-07-22 08:48:56 admin Login 3 2023-07-22 07:40:53 Syste...
