local ip address

Hi,
I'm using Amcrest View Pro on my iphone.

I can see my cameras outside my home but when I'm connected to the same WIFI as my cameras I cannot see them.
I'm sure it has to do with the local ip address vs. actual ip but I'm not sure how to change it in the program.

Can anyone help? Thank you.

Re: Should I try a different brand?

and this is the cable I have running to it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XHDT44G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have the internal cat5 running through the walls of my home and then I extended that with this cable. It is not rated for outdoors so maybe that's a problem?

Re: Should I try a different brand?

The Reolink is hooked up and working in their software. It does not recognize in the Amcrest NVR but why would it? It's not wifi and I have it hooked directly to my internet switch. When I hook it up to the NVR, no dice. Nothing. and yes, known working ethernet cables. I now have two big bricks with...

Re: Should I try a different brand?

Here is the testing I performed tonight. Hooked up the 1063 directly to my NVR through a known working ethernet cable. Nothing. Hooked it up with ethernet cable AND power cable. It does the happy dance but no picture. Hooked up my 863 via ethernet cable, nothing. Next, hooked it up with power supply...

Re: Should I try a different brand?

Thanks buddy. It is poe and about 100 feet from my Amcrest NVR. It worked great for a couple years so not sure why they crapped out so fast all of a sudden. No, it's not high quality cabling by any stretch but I don't know how that would denigrate a camera. You've answered several of my questions on...

Should I try a different brand?

I know this is an Amcrest Forum but I've had 2 ptz poe cameras fail in the last 6 months. Of course, both were out of warranty. This model number I bought in 2021: IP4M-1063EW-AI It's the latest to stop working. This one here stopped working 6 months ago so I replaced it: IP4M-1053EW and I've had on...

Re: splitting camera signal

Well seeing that is a Camera with an Ethernet connection I am going to guess you will want a POE Switch that will work upto POE+ Or if your using a Power supply for the camera and not looking to use 1 cable for power and what not then you could use a Hub and to be honest if you have a Router alread...

Thanks for the suggestion. I have 8 other poe cameras coming out so I don't know how it would seperate the 9th camera.
