Something just came to mind. When motion is detected, maybe most of the work is being done by the HUB (receiving the digital stream and doing the writing to the USB drive)?? Is that a reason for the camera using little power and it appears to be using no power since it's still at 100% after a week?

The only thing I like about the HUB is that the USB is detached from the camera. Criminals can only take/steal the camera but not the footage.
