Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
Oh, I see what you're saying. If I set my schedule for 8AM - 9AM, I will only get alerts during this window but the camera is actually working 24x7. From 9:01AM (today) to 7:59AM (next day), I just won't hear the alerts because they are not being pushed but they will show up on my app if motion were...

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
So if I create a schedule say 8AM - 9AM, does this mean my camera will operate only during this window meaning
detect motions and send out alerts or does it mean my camera will operate every hour except this window? , Revo2Maxx, I read your response but still unclear.

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
My camera has been running for a full two week now outdoor. The battery level is at 91%. It dropped by 6% in the past few days. There had been very sunny days here and what I have noticed is this. The camera gets lots of sun typically during early mornings. I was getting about 25 motion alerts betwe...

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
Something just came to mind. When motion is detected, maybe most of the work is being done by the HUB (receiving the digital stream and doing the writing to the USB drive)?? Is that a reason for the camera using little power and it appears to be using no power since it's still at 100% after a week?

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
I mounted the camera on 4/5/21. It has been running for a full week now though not much motion at this location. The battery level remains at 100% according to my app. Hope the app is reporting accurate information. Not sure why when I had the camera sitting at home and playing around with it, it wa...

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
After (4 x 24) hours of use, my battery level is still at 100%.
I'm now more worried than before because it hasn't dropped yet.

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
Surprisingly my battery is still at 100% according to my app since I put it up on 4/5 at noon. I got about 25-30 motion alerts yesterday which was unexpected. After reviewing every footage, none had humans. I think this camera is very sensitive to sunlight when the sun gradually rises early in the m...

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
You don't configure static IP on the HUB. It's done via the router. Since my decision to keep it is still pending, I have not configured a static IP yet. All of my other Amcrest cameras have static IP. I can even logon to one of my Amcrest cameras located in another house. I will post some updates n...

Re: Amcrest Battery Operated Outdoor Camera
The only thing I like about the HUB is that the USB is detached from the camera. Criminals can only take/steal the camera but not the footage. All of my other Amcrest cameras send .jpg/.mp4 to my NAS. But since this battery camera can't take NAS, I have no choice but to use the HUB. This goes back t...
