Re: Email test fails
I have motion detection email working with an email account from my personal “domain”. I contacted Amcrest support and was told that they have a problem with yahoo and google and are working on it. They had me test a couple of things with a newly created Yahoo account and it still didn’t send e-mail...

Re: Email test fails
One what Mail you using? What Ver FW are you using and almost always test mail fails even with my working server so I don't know why the test is there.... I’ve tried both google and a yahoo email, with and without two factor authentication. I rebooted the router. I have the latest firmware. I’m not...

Email test fails
I have 3 hard wired Amcrest IP cameras. All 3 stopped sending email 2 days ago when motion was detected. In the setup mode, the email test fails. I’m quite sure that I didn’t change any settings in the camera or router that would cause this. Any ideas?

Thank you both! I don’t use an NVR, just FTP to my web site, but I do use other camera viewers.

I also find that my H265 compression setting reverts to H264 by itself for some unknown reason. Any ideas?

Re: Ethernet cable “speed”
Thanks for the replies. One more question. Aren’t these cameras using bandwidth at all times? If not, how would the 5 second pre record setting under storage, record control work?

Re: ip8m-2597 setup
My IP8M-2597 has 30fps at 4K and 1080P, something is messed up with your cam, do a factory reset should take care that. I did a factory reset and then attempted to re-enter my previous settings and discovered the problem. By trial and error I determined that in the Camera configuration, if I set th...

ip8m-2597 setup
There is no option for 30fps in setup - even at 1080P. Also, when I choose H265 compression it reverts back to H264H when I check settings after saving. Any ideas?

Re: ip8m-2597 setup problem
Problem resolved. I was contacted by Amcrest today. They accessed my camera remotely. They saw my problem and gave me a “workaround” to avoid the issue. They sent the details to R&D for a fix and/or software update. I’m finally satisfied with their effort.
