Amcrest user UNfriendly policies
I don't know where else to air my grievances about some of Amcrest policies towards users so thought I would try here and see if I can get their attention. Now that I have bought a few of Amcrest's cameras, I am of course interested in firmware updates. I did sign up for notifications for firmware u...

Re: PTZ Interface is inadaquate
Wow! Revo2Maxx You have a lot of cameras and a lot invested in them! I am going to guess that there are some people in the world that have Patent on some ideas of others... So while it is great idea that everyone have the ability to keep things 1 way sadly others don't feel the same... I doubt that ...

Re: PTZ Interface is inadaquate
A follow up message, I have acquired a IP2M-858 PTZ camera and the web interface for the PTZ setup is much better than the one that came with the latest firmware for the IP2M-841. The GUI for the IP2M-858 could be further improved if one was allow to take a snapshot at each preset location and inclu...

PTZ Interface is inadaquate
I own a number of IP2M-841B and have updated them with the following firmware Software Version V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2019-08-03 WEB Version 3.2.1.619604 ONVIF Version 16.12(V2.4.1.513183) and I am finding the PTZ setups for presets and tours extremely difficult to use and basically very poor...

Re: Selling Cameras & Not supporting them??
It is interesting that I started a thread asking the Amcrest software R&D team to describe their software processes and methodologies. While my intent was to give Amcrest an opportunity to show us users the quality of their software development work. They instead responded by saying that they ar...

Re: Selling Cameras & Not supporting them??
Having just bought a couple if the IP3M-943B cameras myself and as a long time software engineer I thought I would chime in on this thread also. It is a seriously bad practice for a company to suddenly announce the end of engineering support for a product and that there will be no further updates to...

Bug Tracking? Software development processes?
I hope this posting gets answered by the Software Developers/Engineers at Amcrest as this is not an issue that is addressable by fellow users, and the answers to these questions will give me and other users some idea of the quality and maturity of Amcrest's software development processes. I am a ver...

IP2M-841 cameras don't persist motion event regions.
This is occurring on the latest firmware software for these cameras - V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2019-08-03. I set up regions for detecting motion events and save them, but when I come back later to verify if the regions I set up are still in effect, I discover that they have all been removed and...

Please allow users to ack and permanently stop warning msg.
I typically use Firefox on my Linux systems and each time I log in to the web page for my IP2M-841 cameras I get a warning message telling me - "Audio playback is disabled with your current browser due to Audio Encoding incompatibilities. Try recommended browser Google Chrome". I find this...

Re: Normal, Day, Night modes
Jack - I wanted to get back to you even though I have yet to fully test out your solution and let you know that I finally did get it to work. I had to copy paste your URL into an emacs editor and get rid of a hidden format character that my browser was evidently inserting. I then used the cleaned up...
