Trying to use Smart Client to access NV2108E-HS
I'm trying to use Amcrest Smart Client to access my NV2108E-HS NVR but the application can't seem to find the NVR. I have tried "searching" but nothing shows up in the list. I have tried entering the IP address directly and logging on with user admin and the current admin password but all ...

Need Suggestions On Reducing Video File Size
I’m trying to find that magic combination of “encode” settings that will allow me to store as much video as possible while still allowing for good quality video. So I’m looking for any insight other forum members might have on the subject. I have a NV2108E-HS with a 2TB HDD and (4) IP2M-843E cameras...

Re: Corrupt Snapshot Images
The frame rate has been reduced from 30fps to 20fps, bit rate has been changed from CBR 4096 to VBR max 4096, and the snapshot quality has been changed from "5" to "3". None of this has improved the snapshots, I still do not get complete images on snapshots taken during the day. ...

I'm in the process of experimenting with different camera settings to see what effect they have on video file size. My latest experiment involves reducing frame rate from 30 down to 20. I'll be sure to check the snapshots to see if the lower frame rate improves things.

IP2M-843E Camera Stops Detecting Motion
I have a system consisting of (4) IP2M-843E cameras connected to a NV2108E-HS. Two of my cameras will occasionally stop detecting motion. They continue to provide a live feed, and regular video continues to be recorded, but motion detection recording stops as do log entries indicating motion events....

Re: Corrupt Snapshot Images
The only difference between my system and yours is I have the 2108E-HS NVR and I have the same problem with snapshots on all of my cameras. I did notice one odd thing though, snapshots taken at night (black and white) get "fully processed" and I see a complete image. Daytime snapshots howe...
