Re: Issue with IP8M-2493EW-V2 connected to NV4108E-HS
I set SmartCodec=ON (reboot) and now it is behaving on the NV4108E-HS: H265, 15fps, 4096 bitrate.

Re: NV4180E-HS and IP5M-T1179E (or any IP camera with SDcard)
I don't think it is a waste. I have SDs in all my cameras because if someone gets inside, they could find/take the NVR, but the chances of them taking every single camera is slim. For $9/camera I have a 2nd copy of most recent activity and peace of mind.

Issue with IP8M-2493EW-V2 connected to NV4108E-HS
My current (built 2019) Amcrest infrastructure consists of four NV4108E-HS each running 6 cameras (IP4M-1028, IP4M-1051, and a sole IP3M-HX2). All NVRs are running latest v4 firmware. I'm hoping to replace all (14) of my IP4M-1028E (discontinued) with IP8M-2493E -V2 , but running into a showstopper....

Re: NV41xx max HD size?
I have four NV4108E-HS each running an 8TB WD Purple (WD81PURZ) since Q1 2019 without any issues.

Re: IP4M-1028 firmware
James ... kinda figured. I like the covered domes because they are easy to clean and offer some tamper protection. The 1055s ... sent them all back. I also like having the MicroSD inside for an added layer of protection. Great point on location: I have 2 close enough to a light that I get some bleed...

IP4M-1028 firmware
Any plan to release a firmware update (similar to IP4M-1051 and IP3M-HX2) for the IP4M-1028?
Not sure why it is discontinued. I purchased 16 of them in the last 18 months and consider them superior to the IP4M-1055 ... [shrugs].

Re: Amcrest Surveillance Pro 2.0 Beta (Windows Only)
- 32bit APP but installs into "C:\Program Files" which is for 64bit APPs - Above means parallel installation with non-Beta which is handy for testing side-by-side - Parallel installation leaves non-beta in an uninstallable state because BETA takes over Windows install information - Auto se...

Re: Will Cameras Record to NVR and FTP Simultaneously?
The answer your exact questions: 1. By default NVR will record video and SD will record video and snapshot. You can disable video-->SD if desired. NVR configuration shows support for snapshot recording, but I've never enabled it. I video-->NVR & snapshot-->SD. 2. If the APP is connected to the N...

Re: ASP 2.0 for Windows
CORRECTION - I found the error of my ways in PSS2.0 and now loading last view and staying on last used PC monitor is working. CPU usage is lower compared to ASP1.0 so I'll stick with it for a while. Nice that both can be installed at the same time. Fingers-crossed on a 64bit version being released i...
