Re: Authentication Examples?

@jantman It all depends on the camera. I have a Old FW camera that it will work on so it really is FW related to what can and can't work. Maybe they are working in a older FW camera I just used it on my 751 over Wifi and it returned a picture

841b and FTP

So I was talking with a Friend of mine about his 841 and he told me that he had his on the older FW and I personally don't have an issue with this as most of mine are still on the 2.520.xxx FW as well. However when I asked him why he said that doing some searching on the internet he was told that if...

Re: IP3M-941, PC-NVR not working properly

Well I don't want to say no however securely the best answer is no. You could always forward the camera 37777 port and make remote connection with your routers ip. Personally I don't do this anymore and would make sure to set up some type of firewall maybe even ip security by adding your computers i...

Re: IP3M-941, PC-NVR not working properly

Hello and Welcome to the Forum The issue is the PC-NVR and all NVR or IP connected DVR will only work with Local IP cameras as a Safety to the owner of the cameras. NO camera over P2P will record to your PC-NVR.. It used to be if I remember right I will have to look at older ASP to make sure I am co...

Anti Dither on 841V3

Hello all, So I am not sure if it is setup like this by default or if I stayed up to long one night and made some adjustments without knowing better lol. So normally all other cameras I have from Amcrest are setup with the Anti Dither at 5 However my 841V3 had some really long motion event recording...

Re: Main stream will not load but sub stream does

I would make sure you are on a Good Solid connection to your network. If your on Wifi I would make sure to move to better location with better signal. If on cable Ethernet then I could try a different cable or at least try a different port on your router.

Re: ASP all devices offline

If your trying to install P2P there might be an issue with Server if you are trying to install with IP then you need to make sure that all info is added right when you first install. If say the password was wrong even by a digit, it should be removed and installed again. Also need to make sure they ...

Re: Looking for a better choice for weather application

To be honest it is hard to tell. First I would look at the different settings that your camera may offer by logging into the camera, going to the Camera, Encode and see if the camera can drop down to a 4mp or 3mp. Some can some can't so I don't know that camera and the ability. I know that my POS 5m...

Re: Set up with Serial Number option

No Sorry it is all Encrypted. Even though the UUID is constant each time the pass is different. Then once it is connected yes that data that is passed is done in a different port then expected and also is Encrypted. Only time I have been able to look at data and change from Code to Jpg is when I hav...

Re: Set up with Serial Number option

The cool thing is for me anyway is that even if someone was to find it the hand shake between the server and the Recorder and phone or ASP encrypted info is a 1 time deal. So the next time someone makes a connection the Key password runs as a 1 time deal. The next time the info is totally different....
