Re: Push Notifications Not Showing up in Event List
I've had several contacts recently via email with [email protected]. They always ask for the camera model number, but they never address the questions I ask. I'm thinking of returning the IP4M-1053EW to Amazon as there is no support whatsoever.

Re: HTTP API motion detection area?
The Amcrest Web Viewer on Linux doesn't have an F12 function in "Event->Video Detection", as it isn't a "browser".

Re: HTTP API motion detection area?
I use "wget -O- -q --user=user --password=password http://192.168.1.4/cgi-bin/... " and parse the results. As already mentioned, the Amcrest HTTP API has no "videomotion.cgi" or "SubscribeNotify.cgi", so I don't understand your usage of them. I'd be grateful if we could...

Re: Keep IR lights off in night mode - how?
Does the web interface for your camera have "Camera -> Configuration" and then "IR Light -> Mode Off"?

When set to 5 fps using the web interface, be sure to press the "Save" button or your changes will soon be lost.

Re: HTTP API motion detection area?
It seems that those Dahua constructs aren't available on the Amcrest ... searching the HTTP API for "SubscribeNotify" or "videomotion" returns no results. The cgi-bin queries both return "Error Bad Request!"

Re: IP8M-2496EB continuously restarts then goes offline
If the camera is out of warranty, then you might want to open the housing and clean the circuitry with an electronics cleaning spray such as CRC brand, available at many auto parts stores:

One assumes that you've tried other ports on the switch? Switches can become defective too, although rarely. Items like https://www.amazon.com/Inline-Ethernet- ... 07HM621FT/ are worth having in the toolbox to share with others too.

Re: Amcrest CGI Commands
I was hoping for just such a cgi command, but apparently it has been removed from the most recent firmware. The HTTP API link you provided is v1.51, but the most recent for my camera at least, is v2.12 with no such entry for PositionReset, and I also get the returned:
Code: Select all
Error
Bad Request!

Re: Recommended Methods for Accessing your Device (Mac/PC)
What about Linux, please, re: IP4MP-1053EW. Accessing the camera with Google Chrome offers an app for which I'm grateful, but its usage initially results in "Resources are limited, failed to play video stream". After 10 seconds or so the video is viewable with excessive cpu usage on Debian...
