Record but don't notify during a certain time
Hi All, For the ASH-26 (floodlight smart cam), during the day the sun and clouds and even trees blowing can cause motion detection/recording. This is fine. I want it to detect and record. The issue is I don't want push notifications during this time. The probability of someone being in this location...

Re: How to Disable all Protocols & Services not needed
Hello, If you install cameras via a third party app like IP Cam Viewer (Play Store) and do NOT use P2P setup for Amcrest apps, then you do not need to attempt to disable these protocols. In fact, some of the software such as Amcrest IP Config wont' work right and you may need that software. To secur...

Re: Home Assistant
Absolutely correct, there is nothing actually smart about these cameras. They are in a closed ecosystem which means they are as smart as the app they have (which isn't all that great). I use Vera (now ezlo). They have integrated cameras and could use scenes to trigger devices to do things when motio...

Re: IP2M-853EW Firmware Not Available?
So any idea then when the camera would be visible on the firmware page? You couldn't even download the stock firmware if you needed to.

Re: Amcrest Smart Home v3.7.0 release
Why don't you allow the same IPC cams in this app for full control etc. as well? 2 apps now to view your products which is a split ecosystem. Seems like more effort to maintain and of course this isn't clear on their site anywhere. I failed to research properly but I don't think I should have had to...

Re: Web UI for IP Camera won't bring up login screen - Not Found 404
I found out the hard way about this too. Look at the serial number names of devices. IP cameras (web login) start with AMC (amcrest camera (assumption)) while Amcrest smart home cameras start with ASH (amcrest smarthome). Fortunately you can use ONVIF (at least for ASH-26) to use other camera apps b...

Still no firmware, a support ticket said they were working on it. It's been months.

Re: IP2M-853EW Firmware Not Available?
Thanks for the response. Consider me a lurker. Much like the Fitbit product I see the same issues are still here year after year haven't changed. When could we get a patrol button in the amcrest view app? That shouldn't be tough. Ip cam viewer on the app store is superior in nearly all ways. I thoug...
