Can I run (2) wireless 842 cameras on (1) 2amp power supply?
I have one existing camera in a location, I just happened upon a few more identical cameras. Can I tap off of the existing camera that is close by with the 12V power? Per the specs, the power supply is 2 amps and the camera seems to pull much less than half of that. Has anyone done it? I think that ...

Re: Amcrap cameras dead in just over 2 years?
Does your WIFI camera come back after cycling power? Mine have been troublesome since day 1. I put a WIFI plug on the power supply and I cycle power twice a day, that helped greatly.

Re: Camera Won't Connect Remotely
I had the same issue with my AMC cameras. When you configure the camera, there are two ways to do it in the Amcrest tool, and bear with me, I'm going by memory and its been a while. If you configure your camera using the internal IP address it works great in-network, but not remotely. Do the longer,...

Re: Snow flakes & motion detection
Yep, I have a ritual every morning of deleting alerts. If its raining or especially if its snowing, I get lots of alerts. Fortunately I've whittled it down to maybe 20 during a storm, it used to literally be 150 a night! My other issue is with headlights. Even though I have the street area blocked o...

Re: Illegal access
I get these hits literally every day. I get notifications from my Xfinity network that it blocked an attempt, and they come from everywhere in the world. I also run Norton my machine as well as Blue Iris 5. I can go into BI5 and look at the log files, it also shows that zero data was transferred mea...

Re: Amcrest Camera Offline .....
Welcome to my world of Amcrest cameras, its sometimes a miserable existence. My 2m-842 wireless cameras go on the fritz every day, they always have from day 1. So much so that I had to put Gosund smart plugs on every camera, I auto reset each one 3 times a day...midnight, noon, and 8pm, even at that...

Camera pixilating
Recently one of my 842 outside cameras started pixilating. At night its really bad, during the day it looks like its flashing. I'm thinking the fix is to disconnect it and format it....AGAIN My camera strength is 70%. Any suggestions?

Re: IP2M-853EW Firmware Not Available?
I know that this old, but be sure that when you configured your camera you did it as P2P using the camera serial number and not using the IP address. I beat my head off of this for a while, it sometimes worked, sometimes didn't. Some cameras showed, some didn't. Turns out that if you want remote con...
