Re: IP3M-941/IP2M-841E/IP3M-HX2 Firmware Release
Just noting that I have dozens of these cameras installed in commercial security systems, all upgraded to the latest firmware, and I am having none of these problems; the new firmware is better in every regard in my experience. I wish I could upgrade the IP2M-852 outdoor cameras to this level firmwa...

Re: So you want to upgrade your old outdated system?
IP cameras have a much better image quality that doesn't degrade and get noise in it the longer your cable is. The advantage of analog is that it still WORKS even as the signal deteriorates, whereas digital it just starts cutting out. But with digital, you have 100% image quality regardless of the l...

Re: IP2M-841/IPM-721/IPM-HX1 (Non POE Models) Firmware Release
I have installed "V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2019-08-03" firmware on my IP2M-841 cameras, and it seems to be working fine. I did not factory reset because I'm afraid my WiFi connected camera won't reconnect to WiFi after being factory reset. Audio is working in Firefox (I'm not using th...

Re: After 4 months of testing Amcrest Camera this is my honest review
I would like to second what RLM just said above... I find the Amcrest camera products to be very easy to use and provide very good performance for the price. A new firmware update was finally released a couple days ago that makes the cameras compatible with all modern web browsers without using a pl...

Re: Systems with Audio?
All Amcrest's indoor pan/tilt cameras have two-way audio. They can be used outdoors as long as they're hung upside down under an eave to keep them out of the weather. Pair any them with any of the NVRs or a PC running Blue Iris and you will have a camera system that records audio with the video.

Re: IP2M-841 External Microphone / Speaker ?
Guys, the problem is that you're trying to plug microphones into a line-in jack. I can confirm just by looking that none of the products mentioned earlier on this thread will work with these cameras. Not only does line-in fail to provide power to the microphone, it is expecting much larger signals t...

Re: IP2M-841 (White) Line In NOT WORKING
Guys, the problem is that you're trying to plug microphones into a line-in jack. Not only does line-in fail to provide power to the microphone, it is expecting much larger signals than a microphone would produce. Line-in is meant to be plugged into a line-out or headphone jack on another device. I a...

@Melvin, any news on the HTML5 compatible firmware that would do away with the need for plugins?

Re: Incorrect Colors
Hello amcrestforumusername, This appears to the IR cut filter of the camera being defective. If a simple reboot an hard reset does not fix the issue, you can go for warranty replacement. Once again, this is most definitely NOT an IR cut filter issue. This is a digital image processing issue most li...
