Re: IP2M-841/IPM-721/IPM-HX1 (Non POE Models) Firmware Release

I have installed "V2.420.AC00.18.R, Build Date: 2019-08-03" firmware on my IP2M-841 cameras, and it seems to be working fine. I did not factory reset because I'm afraid my WiFi connected camera won't reconnect to WiFi after being factory reset. Audio is working in Firefox (I'm not using the AAC form...

Re: After 4 months of testing Amcrest Camera this is my honest review

I would like to second what RLM just said above... I find the Amcrest camera products to be very easy to use and provide very good performance for the price. A new firmware update was finally released a couple days ago that makes the cameras compatible with all modern web browsers without using a pl...

Re: Systems with Audio?

All Amcrest's indoor pan/tilt cameras have two-way audio. They can be used outdoors as long as they're hung upside down under an eave to keep them out of the weather. Pair any them with any of the NVRs or a PC running Blue Iris and you will have a camera system that records audio with the video.

Re: IP2M-841 External Microphone / Speaker ?

Guys, the problem is that you're trying to plug microphones into a line-in jack. I can confirm just by looking that none of the products mentioned earlier on this thread will work with these cameras. Not only does line-in fail to provide power to the microphone, it is expecting much larger signals t...

Re: IP2M-841 (White) Line In NOT WORKING

Guys, the problem is that you're trying to plug microphones into a line-in jack. Not only does line-in fail to provide power to the microphone, it is expecting much larger signals than a microphone would produce. Line-in is meant to be plugged into a line-out or headphone jack on another device. I a...

@Melvin, any news on the HTML5 compatible firmware that would do away with the need for plugins?

Re: Incorrect Colors

Hello amcrestforumusername, This appears to the IR cut filter of the camera being defective. If a simple reboot an hard reset does not fix the issue, you can go for warranty replacement. Once again, this is most definitely NOT an IR cut filter issue. This is a digital image processing issue most li...

Re: ip2m-841b direct to PC???

Yes, this is possible. Connect your IP cam to a router, log in to its web interface, go to Setup -> Network -> TCP/IP . Set its Wired IP address to something unique, like 10.90.0.1. Subnet mask would be 255.255.255.0. The other numbers don't matter in this usage scenario. Save your settings. Now, on...

Re: Please enable plus ("+") character in e-mail address

+ should not be used for any email address. Just because google allows it MS does not. Who cares if Microsoft supports it or not? If Microsoft doesn't support it, why would I be entering that into my camera for a Microsoft account anyway? Wouldn't I automatically be entering the correct information...

Re: Shutter Speed

The numbers are in milliseconds, not fractions of a second. To convert the fraction to milliseconds, use 1000 instead of 1, and use the answer of the equation as the number to enter. For example: 1/60 sec: 1000 / 60 = 16.66666666666667, so enter 16.67 1/500 sec: 1000 / 500 = 2, so enter 2. Another w...
