Re: Can't get the plugin to work in Chrome
That is sad, @markplewis. It'd be nice to have a non-plugin html5 version of the camera interface by now. I guess they've abandoned that ideal in favor of the premium cloud streaming...

Re: New Firmware Update for IP2M-841 today?
Mark, it seems like you're suggesting Amcrest can log into our cameras and update the firmware. If so, that's unsettling. Melvin, I would think that's not possible. Can you offer some insight please? Sorry for the delay in reply... All I can say is that my camera magically started working properly ...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?
I'd also like to chime in that this is a dealbreaker for me buying any more amcrest cameras. Just upgraded one of mine without knowing about this issue until it broke all the integrations with my home automation system (ISY). Won't be upgrading the firmware on any others until/if this is resolved. ...

Re: CGI SDK no longer functioning on 17r?
Does anyone have a working example of how to use digest authentication with an Amcrest camera? My attempts in curl, postman haven't worked. thanks! I figured this out, so here's my examples that will hopefully help other people trying to use DIGEST AUTH. using command line curl to grab a jpg snapsh...

Re: Amcrest View Pro app broken in Android Oreo
to follow up, after i used the PC software Amcrest IP Config, it found the camera on the ethernet. I didn't see a way to setup the wifi connection, but after i used the Clean Config setting the Android wifi setup was able to connect to the device, and showed the correct SSID in the network settings.

Amcrest View Pro app broken in Android Oreo
in the new camera setup, add device by ethernet, the wifi select network dialog is broken in the latest Android Oreo. It will accept a wifi password, but not a SSID. It previously worked fine last month in Android N on my Google Pixel XL. I'm trying the PC setup software now to see if that will help...

Re: Weird "Alarm Event: Illegal Access(Local Storage)" from China
interesting, thanks! I'm glad the alert settings worked. i'm happy to be informed of these attempts, the content of the alert just looks more like a successful attack than a thwarted one!

Weird "Alarm Event: Illegal Access(Local Storage)" from China
Last night I got this email alert from my cam that looks like it's logging illegal access to my storage from a China IP address. I'm looking for clarification on if this means my camera has been hacked/compromised. If Amcrest software can alert me to it isn't there something they can do to instead b...

Re: New Firmware Update for IP2M-841 today?
I agree DavidN. To add to the observed "changelog", i also see there are new options for popular service providers in the Settings > Network > SMTP (Email) menu. I didn't try any of them since i already had mine setup. It also looks like my amcrest DDNS settings were disabled by the firmwa...
