Re: Can't get the plugin to work in Chrome
@dwoo, you do realize that Amcrest said this was a high-priority fix and promised a solution over two years ago, right? You've been lied to and it ain't gonna' happen. "We are currently in development of plugins that will work on Chrome's newest versions, without NPAPI. The scheduled timeline f...

Re: Browser plugins don't work?
^ What can we do collectively as customers to bring this up to Amcrest as a priority? Probably nothing. It's obvious Amcrest has absolutely no concern for their customers and is quite comfortable telling outright lies about a fix being imminent. The best we can do is continue to leave 1-star review...

Re: Browser plugins don't work?
Revolunet, I am in the processing a getting rid of all of my Amcrest cameras due in large part to the plug-in issue and the company's repeated lies about addressing it. For testing purposes, I replaced one Amcrest outdoor bullet with a Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z and another with a Reolink 411S. The Reolin...

Re: Your apps suck
A slow, golf-clap to DrunkSkeeterPilot! He does a better job of testing than anyone at Amcrest (if they actually employ testers). Amcrest, fire Adam Ravat and hire DrunkSkeeterPilot. You'll be a better company for it.

Re: firefox and internet explorer plugins no longer working
Hey Melvin, do you realize that "older Firefox versions" are full of security holes? Did you really just suggest people use old, unpatched browsers. Do YOU use old, unpatched browsers? Do the employees at Amcrest use old, vulnerable versions of Firefox? Yeah, I didn't think so. "We ar...

Re: firefox and internet explorer plugins no longer working
Melvin, Can you please explain why plugins have been an issue for over two years? Amcrest first promised a fix in September of 2015. Why is this so hard for you guys? This issue consumes much of the Tech Discussion board and has for years. WHY DO YOU REFUSE TO ADDRESS THE PROBLEM? Please have the de...

Re: After Firmware update FTP no longer works
Get out! Are you saying that you installed a firmware update and found that the fine folks at Amcrest didn't test it properly and it broke things? Shocking! /snark Please go to Amazon and share your experience. Those of us who have owned Amcrest cameras for any length of time know this is SOP for th...

Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
Anyone who expects Amcrest to address this issue in a timely manner is very, very high. And the person who described Amcrest as "a security-centric company" practically made me blow coffee out of my nose. Amcrest is a poorly-run organization that's without mature software development metho...

Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
Melvin, please don't do this. Amcrest has not addressed this vulnerability and you know that. Yet you post something here that suggests updating to the latest firmware will protect us. Why would you do that, buddy? Really, just why? Oh, and please give Adam Ravat a call and tell him we're still wait...

Re: setting up a SD card
No. There is a slot on the back of the camera. Put the SD card in there.
