Thanks for the timely response.
If you don't recommend using those 3rd-party brands with the Amcrest NVR, then please expand your product line. Like for example, a fisheye 180/360-degree FOV camera or something else, so we don't have to settle for other brands.

3rd-party cam compatibility
Hi! I have the NV1104E NVR and under Main Menu > Setting > Camera > Remote, there is a drop-down list of 3rd-party camera brands. So, my question is: If I get one of these listed brands, will it work seamlessly with this NVR? Meaning, will motion-detection recording work just like with any other Amc...

Re: How to control motion detect record length?
If you have an NVR, it is in Storage > Schedule > Record. There is a 'Pre Record' check box where you have to enter the # in seconds you want the motion detect to record prior to the point of detection.

Re: Replacement lenses for Amcrest ProHD PoE camera
Thanks for the insights, Tim. Yes, I've learned lately that Dahua OEMs Amcrest. I was thinking of getting a Dahua NVR hoping it would recognize my Amcrest IP2M-841E & 844E. But according to Dahua USA, it's a crap shoot just like with the Hikvision NVRs -- 3rd party cameras are recognized but can...

Re: New Firmware Update for IP2M-841 today?
Why on earth did they not inform us BEFOREHAND that our cameras needed to be hard reset before the changes to the firmware would take effect (as Melvin claimed it to be). If this had been included in the change log or given as a heads up on this board, none of this mess would have happened, don't yo...

Re: Help! NV1104E power button defective??
The power button, sadly, is only one-way -- just to turn on the unit -- after that it does nothing. I'm thinking of ditching this and getting a Dahua NVR. At least, it's more solid and robust than this buggy one.

Gone are the days of flow-charting, testing and debugging.

Re: Motion detection IP2M-841 twice daily
Yep, very annoying indeed especially with an NVR that has a very unstable, buggy web UI Firefox plugin. For me to see the progress of the recording I have to switch back and forth between dates just to refresh the screen. If I don't do that, the bars, be it yellow or green, will not move at all.

Re: Amcrest Pro HD - Telnet
Oendaril,
What makes you believe these Amcrest cameras are Dahuas?
Thanks.
