What needs to be open?

In the middle of setting up motion detection settings on 3 cameras. I load up the Amcrest Surveillance software and do all my configuring to each individual camera. Set the schedule and all that. Now, does that software need to stay up and running for the cameras to record or I can shut down the sof...

Re: Local PC-DVR broke in new version

Yes, that did the trick and let me allocate space on the local drive. Thanks.

Local PC-DVR broke in new version

I created a local PC-DVR to auto-record some motion detection. Just on the local machine with an attached hard drive. Very simple. I allocated 200GB of space, since that's all I could allocate. So I saw there was an updated version of the surveillance pro software and I upgraded, which comes built i...

Re: FTP server test failure, list right loss

No, there is something going on. I received the same error and I'm trying to record 24/7 and it won't upload anything via FTP. Everytime there is a new firmware, more bugs.

Re: FTP not working (Netgear router with USB drive)

This is such a joke. I have 6 bullet cameras and can't put ANY of the media on my NAS system at all. The camera specifications indicate it supports SMB but it does not. If it did, than the NAS function would work and let me copy files over. Also I have the FTP bug, even on my PTZ camera. I've tried ...

Recording to you NAS.

Listen, a NAS system is just a bunch of hard drives slapped together to make one large drive. They all have some portal web based operating system which lets you control that system.I run my NAS off a USB drive and it's called UNRAID. Capable of SMB, NFS, FTP, PLEX, DOCKERS, just about protocol you ...

Re: don't upgrade firmware : IP2M-841 cams

The bad programming is back again. I'm unable to update my 841's firmware because of the corrupt file from the web.

Firmware file is bad on IP2M-841

I've tried downloading the file to make sure and it won't apply itself. I tried logging directly into the camera to perform the update and I also tried using IP Config program to perform the update. Both procedures did not work and just came back with "Invalid File". I was able to update t...

Where is support?

Is there a way to enter your camera into Blue Iris using P2P and the serial number, like the Professional Pro software software that is available too? To add a camera all I was able to do was install by P2P using the serial number and it was done. It seems the Blue Iris doesn't have this feature or ...
