Hello Manual of NVR4116 says max. capacity of disc is 6TB. Some users have used 8TB and 12TB discs I heard. Any official statement of Amcrest of tested discs to support higher space? 6TB is nothing with 16x 4MP cameras... And users using higher disc can you tell me which one and if there are no prob...

I've read only the manual and not found anything there...

I have IP2M-844EW and IP3M-956EB
It tells me that it is POE but not if it use 802.3af. Nothing in manual nor box!
Can anybody confirm me until I buy a POE switch and it will not work or burn up?

Ok new DVR Firmware will record audio right.
Now you can export as mp4 which was no option before.

Ok just entred directly to cam with chrome and with that I've audio.
I didn't notice the that default is audio off (I use normally firefox for go directly to camera)
Will do DVR upgrade and post if it works.

Thanks for answer. So if I understood right, you did have also no sound after fw upgrade and after a factory reset you had sound? What audio codec are you using and which DVR? Is this with the DVR or directly at the camera. I never did check directly at the cam.... So there is no way to go back. Bad...

What is the max disk capacity which can be used with NV4116-HS?
Does it support 6TB and 8TB WD Purple or only the 4TB version?

To connect to the nvr or camera on port 37777 is there any encryption or does the login pw go plain text over internet?
What protocol is it using?
Mostly does Amcrest View android application use this protocol and is it secure?
