Re: Looking for an Amcrest camera with provision for an external microphone

It would be an indoor camera, but the microphone will actually be outside. Listening to a piece of equipment is the only way to know that it's working properly. As far as connectors go, I'm not too concerned, I can easily adapt RCA to 3.5 mm or the other way around. It seems like, having provisions ...

Looking for an Amcrest camera with provision for an external microphone

Looking for an Amcrest camera with provision for an external microphone. Internal microphone will not work in my application. I have spent hours searching. Shockingly, the owners manuals that are available online do not show the connections or wires available. It's almost like you have to buy a came...

Re: Updated firmware on IP3M-941 I can now only see cameras on my local Wi-Fi

Revo, Thank you for helping me. I've gone through all of my Amcrest cameras and brought them up to a level of firmware that allows me to view the cameras on my Mac. It's quite a struggle in many cases, Amcrest requires a plug-in that does not exist . Fortunately, I was able to use an older 2015 Mac ...

Re: Updated firmware on IP3M-941 I can now only see cameras on my local Wi-Fi

I'll give you a little more background. I needed to make some changes that required me accessing the camera directly. It turned out several of my IP3M-941 cameras had firmware from 2017. It was very difficult to directly access these cameras with the older 2017 firmware. I used IP Config to find the...

Updated firmware on IP3M-941 I can now only see cameras on my local Wi-Fi

Decided to update the firmware on several Amcrest IP3M-941 cameras, to the latest version, dated: 3-30-2020 Ever since doing this, I can only access the camera on my local Wi-Fi. Using iPhone or iPad, I cannot access the camera when using cellular data or on someone else's Wi-Fi. (Problem did not ex...

What Amcrest cameras have an auxiliary/external audio input?

Amcrest user manuals or other documentation does not show which cameras have external audio inputs. I understand that some Amcrest IP cameras have a connector on the inside with a connection for an external speaker and microphone. Shockingly, the Amcrest documentation never shows connections that ar...

P2P not working on existing, configured camera with iPad

I configured a IP4M-1041W with no fuss on my iPhone 12, I then used P2P to get the camera going on my wife's iPhone, it worked perfectly the first time. I cannot get the camera working on ANY of our 3 iPads using P2P. I have the latest version of the iPad operating system and Amcrest app. I have qua...

How do you put camera names in alphabetical order with iPhone?

How do you put camera names in alphabetical order with iPhone? Strangely, when using the iPad app the cameras are automatically put in order alphabetically. However, when using iPhone the camera list is random. With the other camera applications it's easy to move the names around in any order you ...

Looking for an easier way to find IP address for cameras

Looking for an easier way to find IP address for cameras. When you have about 20 cameras at one location I find it difficult to find the IP address for a specific camera. I use Amcrest IP Config for Mac OS. But it will give me 20 results. I put those IP addresses into Firefox on a trial and error ba...
