Re: Set up with Serial Number option

Are you are saying that only the ID/PW is encrypted (a "one time deal") in the client-server P2P connection stream, and the video stream is not encrypted?  So if someone could intercept the unuseable encrypted ID/PW, then they could possibly intercept the un-encrypted video stream using th...

Re: NVR NV4108 Interference from other REMOTES

So far no grid changes since I placed the DVR behind the TV shielding the infrared sensor on the DVR, but still skeptical as even when the TV remote was not being used, the flipping grid would change to a different view. I am still stumped why this DVR will not do a hard factory reset unless I am m...

Re: I changed routers, how can I change the IP of two cameras

If you have not done much beyond installing the new router, I suggest using your router Web UI to change the router IP address and wifi ssid and password using the values from the old router.  That may do it for you.

Re: IP cameras run in Dark spaced 24/7

How about just leaving a 9W LED bulb on 24/7.  If I calculated right, this 6 pack should last 10 years, assuming each one can be on continuously. Just have to change it out every couple of years.

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

I posted about this a few months ago, ended up tossing the NVR aside, but tried making this work again. Here's my setup: - One dedicated TP-Link AX50 router - The NVR is connected to the router over ethernet, has a static IP, port 37777 is forwarded to the NVR, and I have successfully added it to A...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

My thoughts regarding H.265 : As I understand it, the purpose of H.265 for IP cameras is to significantly reduce the bandwidth and file size for videos without reducing quality.  If those things don't matter or there is some other reason, then don't use H.265. If a H.265 video file is distributed t...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

friggeri "Naive question: if there is not recording set up, is the NVR still streaming the main streams from the cameras? (given the low bandwidth utilization I’m assuming no, but @jack7’s comment above seem to indicate that maybe it does?)." I would say no, unless it is being displayed i...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

That’s a good idea, I’ll try to connect over ethernet just to test things out. But I believe there is a deeper issue beyond that: if I *only* connect the cameras and expose each of them to Amcrest View Pro, then I have no issue whatsoever streaming all of them, but as soon as the NVR enters the equ...
