Re: IP cameras run in Dark spaced 24/7

How about just leaving a 9W LED bulb on 24/7.  If I calculated right, this 6 pack should last 10 years, assuming each one can be on continuously. Just have to change it out every couple of years.

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

I posted about this a few months ago, ended up tossing the NVR aside, but tried making this work again. Here's my setup: - One dedicated TP-Link AX50 router - The NVR is connected to the router over ethernet, has a static IP, port 37777 is forwarded to the NVR, and I have successfully added it to A...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

My thoughts regarding H.265 : As I understand it, the purpose of H.265 for IP cameras is to significantly reduce the bandwidth and file size for videos without reducing quality.  If those things don't matter or there is some other reason, then don't use H.265. If a H.265 video file is distributed t...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

friggeri "Naive question: if there is not recording set up, is the NVR still streaming the main streams from the cameras? (given the low bandwidth utilization I’m assuming no, but @jack7’s comment above seem to indicate that maybe it does?)." I would say no, unless it is being displayed i...

Re: NV5232e-16p unusable with IP4M-1051w

That’s a good idea, I’ll try to connect over ethernet just to test things out. But I believe there is a deeper issue beyond that: if I *only* connect the cameras and expose each of them to Amcrest View Pro, then I have no issue whatsoever streaming all of them, but as soon as the NVR enters the equ...

Re: How to disable PC Sync for time

I did a test with PC timezone changed, and it appears that camera time is changed at login only when Amcrest Web UI or Amcrest Surveillance is used.  It is not changed when another PC program  like IP Centcom is used to login camera. Using an android device with another timezone does not cause camer...

Re: How to Run Amcrest Surveillance Pro as a normal user in Windows

... 1.Even if WebActiveX wasn’t constantly crashing Surveillance Pro, IE is essentially a defunct program and many sites don’t support it and actually suggest not using the IE browser. ... Since you don't want to use IE, you could try this and see how well it works. The Microsoft replacement for IE...

Re: Buzzer and Voice Prompts

I found that to get Motion Detect voice alarm and popup from more than one LAN connected camera, I had to go to ASP main screen>Events and set up each camera for Motion Detect Notify and Link Video.  That took some experimenting and effort.  There is a Copy To function. The above may also apply to N...
