Adding RTSP streams *to* the NVR for recording?
I've seen a few threads and support articles on accessing the NVR's own RTSP stream, but what I really need is to have the NVR connect to and record RTSP streams from other cameras. Is this something the Amcrest NVRs can do? It seems like such a glaring omission, given that the majority of cameras d...

Re: Anti-Dither forcing 15 seconds
Hi Melvin, did you ever get feedback on your report about this issue?
Trying to save camera configurations from other programs, such as the iPhone app, that allow me to set the proper anti-dither always ends up resetting my Region settings since it doesn't support multiple Regions.

IPC update failing, despite disabling all recording function
I'm trying to update the firmware of my IP3M-956E (current device version 2.400; attempting to update to 2.420). When attempting to update, the web interface warns: " Pre-record or record function is enabled; please turn off pre-record or record function. Otherwise, IPC upgrading may fail, cont...

Re: Motion Detection Playback is Choppy
If you download the footage, is it still choppy, or only when streaming? I've noticed some odd behavior of the time slider, but not the skipping around (although most of my footage is fairly static, so it's been hard to tell)

Re: Using Amcrest cloud changes camera settings
I get similar issues when using more than one tool to change settings (e.g. mobile app + Amcrest Surveillance Pro + web browser (I don't use the Cloud site)). I had made some changes with one app a few days ago and was wondering why I no longer got MD alerts from my indoor camera. Turned out that th...

Re: Cameras go in and out....why?
PoE cameras are viable up to 320 feet, so I can't see it being a distance issue if you're using a max of 100ft. Since you have not confirmed by your post, are you using a four-camera kit with an NVR? If so, at the NVR end, swap network ports between a camera that works well and a camera that doesn't...

Re: Amcrest POE NVR, can't get camera connected
If you run HDMI from the PVR to a television, are you able to see video from there? Using the on-screen keyboard is a true PITA, but I've found it to be the best way to get some of the initial settings taken care of, and will give you more direct access to the video feeds from connected cameras.

Re: Forum Search Doesn't work!
I believe that's more an issue with the forum software than with Amcrest. Try searching 'IP2M' (or 841), you'll get a number of responses.
Can't speak to the other question, but five months is a lot better than never, which is the last time my IP3M-956E was updated

Re: Quick Turn ON/OFF Suggestion
I was going to suggest a very similar thing, actually. Having 'Home' and 'Away' settings would be extremely helpful - that way you could have a schedule for 'Home' where it only records late at night, and/or with a lower threshold, and an away setting that increases the threshold and maybe records c...

Re: Anti-Dither forcing 15 seconds
Can't set it on the camera directly. As I've mentioned in another thread, this is behind the NVR, with no direct access.
