Re: Amcrest products and KRACK vulnerability
I sent an email to Amcrest back in May asking about their plans to address KRACK, and all I got were evasive non- responses. Basically they have no plans to fix anything. Their lofty goal statements about their noble purpose and values are pure BS. They compete on price only. Everything else (securi...

Re: Do I have these ports right for Android access?
My android app works fine when I default all the port settings and disable UPnP. However, if you want to access the cams via https, I've found it necessary to activate port forwarding in the router to the https port. But with https enabled, I've found that viewing on android becomes sluggish. Maybe ...

Re: Amcrest ProHD input abnormality (audio channel)
I determined a fix! As I noted in previous posts, it is helpful to disable the noise filter. If that doesn't solve the problem, I confirmed with two of my cameras that raising the microphone volume to 70 eliminates the abnormality alarm. (The default volume level is 50.) As another poster noted, it ...

Re: Amcrest ProHD input abnormality (audio channel)
I have this same problem on 2 of 3 720P models. The problems started after a software update a while ago. Disabling the noise filter prevents the problem on one of the cameras. I may try using an external microphone to see if that helps. This is an irritating bug that should have been fixed by now!

Re: Input Abnormal Alarm Type
There's no need to disable the Audio Detection. Instead disable the noise filter. That is the root cause of the alerts.AndyM wrote:Thank you! Disabling Setup -> Event -> Audio Detection resolved the issue

Re: IP2M 841B "Input Abnormal" alerts
I think I figured out how to stop this while enabling audio alarms. But what might be real audio alarms are labeled "Tamper" alarms in the email. I feel like I'm playing whack-a-mole testing this device. Rest easy. There is a simple fix. Disable the noise filter. Refer to my post earlier ...

Re: Static IP or not
You want a static IP because when you do port forwarding on the router you want the port that you are opening to point to a specific IP. If the IP changes via DHCP then you would have to be port forwarding to a moving target. The Linksys WRT1900AC router has the capability to reserve (permanently a...

Re: IP2M 841 audio alerts
Yes! The culprit is the noise filter. Disable it:jjreynolds wrote:Can anyone enable audio alerts without getting bombarded with abnormal input alerts? I'm running the latest firmware.

Re: Quickly enable/disable alert notifications
Try unchecking ALL of the audio alert options. Simply unchecking the "Enable" box is not sufficient.chooahh wrote:Hi Melvin-
Thanks for the response. Even when I disable motion detection on the app, I continue to receive alerts. Any other tips?
