Re: nv4108e-hs displays only 2 of 4 cameras at a time
I had a problem where I could not display all 8 cameras at the same time. My problem was because I didn't have substreams enabled. Once I enabled substreams, all 8 cameras could be displayed.

Re: Any reason a 12tb drive wouldn't work
I'm late to the party.
My suggestion is to try it. You just never know.
I have an 8TB in mine, and it's working perfectly. It'll be a year in a couple weeks.

Thanks for sharing.
The cheap crap coming out of China nowadays just blows the mind. It's not only cables. It's everything (car parts, construction materials, tools, electronics, etc...) Watch out. The old adage is still true--You pay for what you get.

Re: Access Cameras behind NVR
Not to sound funny, but I hope you're typing the IP address of the NVR without the quotes.
In my case it's http://192.168.22.51:10080 for the 1st camera since the IP of my NVR is 192.168.22.51.
Also, what happens when you click on the IE icon while logged into the NVR interface with Internet Explorer?

Re: Open letter about the state of Amcrest software
Daily reboots? Yikes. I schedule weekly reboots for all the cameras including the NVR. I scatter the reboots on different days and at various times. I've been doing that since day 1 (I learned that from managing other more expensive systems for work). The cameras and the NVR always come back fine. D...

Re: The One Feature you like about your DVR/NVR
I have a question about Smart Search. Does it work in an area of the screen that is not setup for motion detection? I don't setup that area for motion detection because it's the street. I only setup motion detection for the driveway. The street is in the view of the camera--just not setup for motion...

Is Alexa Support Here?
I received a promo email from Amcrest for their Black Friday promotion.
They're advertising the IP2M-841B as "Works with Alexa". It says the says the same on the Amazon page.
I must have missed this. I've been waiting for it.
What about Google Home Support?
