Re: Image Quality
The HD setting in the App doesn't persist for my cameras. Toggling the resolution fixes the pixelation but the next time I open the camera it's pixelated again.

Re: Image Quality
Is this a recent issue? Check over in the IP Cameras board for a thread on the recent update to version 4 of the app causing resolution issues. I wonder if this is specific to the iPhone screen size? That could explain why this isn't a more common issue.

Re: Amcrest view pro IOS issues
Hey James.S can you check out the IP camera's board for another IOS issue topic we started? This one is related to the new version as well. The resolution on the live view defaults to some horrible resolution. There doesn't appear to be a workaround. Please let us know if there's a fix on the way. I...

Re: IOS Amcrest View Pro Resolution Problem
I tried removing the devices and adding them again, that didn't help.
There doesn't seem to be any combination of settings changes that help.
If anyone has tried to downgrade the IOS app let me know. I don't want to lose my devices since it will be hard to add them again (they are remote).

Re: IOS Amcrest View Pro Resolution Problem
Same here, I thought the app looked different. The workaround I found was the same, but it only works for a short time and then resets to the garbled resolution. I'm on an iPhone 7.

Re: Setting up FTP - FTP server test failure, user read only right
I use the ftp option, and the test always fails for me. But the ftp upload works just fine. Seems like a false error.

Re: Amcrest View on iPhone
On a related note, is there an alternative to the Amcrest gateway that I can host myself? It would seem possible to direct the cameras to listen to another service that I can run on a host with a static IP.

Re: Latest app update causing slow live streaming connections
Yes, I noticed a major improvement in speed today. I'd like to know if Amcrest changed anything or not on their end. I don't believe I received any app updates.

Latest app update causing slow live streaming connections
The latest update appears to slow down connections to 5 out of 6 of my cameras. Anyone else experiencing a very long wait (minutes) to establish the live stream? It just spins and spins. Usually if there's a connectivity issue it bails quickly to the network issue status. I have been very pleased wi...
