I had the same problem in Linux Mint 18.3. Had to revert back to Google Chrome ver. 76.
Ver. 77 is not available for 64bit Linux.

p.s.--I will not update my camera's firmware without the ability to roll back to the original.

martin777, Did you use Pale Moon 32 bit? Good question. I'll try it. Why is it that everyone is getting upset with Amcrest or even other CCTV companies when other people do things that Break what used to work... I have the following 7 cameras working well in Linux Mint 17.2, 18.3 and Win7. Laptop and PC. Win10 NEVER! 3-IP2M-841W's, IP2M-842EW, IP2M-848E, IP2M-853E and IP2M-858W. Have you tried the Google Chrome add-on "Amcrest Web View" app?
I HIGHLY recommend it.
