IP3M-954 issues

After having FTP not working with the April, 2017 firmware, I "reverted" back to the September, 2016 software, and the FTP works again. Also, the video files are now saved as MP4 rather than dav. I don't know how that happened, but it's a good thing. I'm still playing with the video detect...

An Amcrest tech told me that he would tell the engineering department about the problem, but I won't hold my breath for that. Please let me know if you find a fix for this issue.

Re: IP3M-954e settings change by themselves

I've been cutting the power to the camera each night for a while. Maybe that causes the frame rate and bit rate to change. I'll stop doing that, and see if that fixes the problem.

IP3M-954e settings change by themselves

My camera bit rate and frame rate settings change by themselves. Both main and sub streams revert back to 10 frames per second and a low bit rate every once in a while. I was aware that using Amcrest cloud can change settings, but I do not use the cloud at all. I updated to the April, 2017 firmware ...

Re: [IP3M-954E 3MP POE] Latest Firmware Removes Nearly All Camera Configuration

I installed the old firmware from September 2016, and things are working again. The firmware update is apparently flawed.

Re: [IP3M-954E 3MP POE] Latest Firmware Removes Nearly All Camera Configuration

Hi GaryPSU, Yes, we can reset the camera from the interface it self. But we have to hard reset the camera and that will reset it to factory settings. That didn't do it. In addition, my DDNS keeps reverting to Amcrest DDNS, not my paid no-ip. Can I go back to a previous firmware? Also, what browser ...

Once firmware is updated a hard reset of the camera is recommended. For this model, you will have to open it and join two brass ports on the board with a wire for 15-20 seconds.
That's ridiculous. Isn't there another way to reset via software, etc?

Re: [IP3M-954E 3MP POE] Latest Firmware Removes Nearly All Camera Configuration

I finally got the April, 2017 firmware to update. The setup has changed, and most things seem OK, but I can't get the motion detection events to get to my web site via FTP. The "test" fails. Any ideas? :(
